A Shot At Herpes with Ashley Dupre

You see that Tila, Ashley Dupre is telling you, "Peace Out!" That's right the high priced Elliot Spitzer call girl is working with Handprint Entertainment on developing a reality series starring the Dupre. Can you guess what kind of show they are discussing about creating with MTV (this is a rhetorical question)? Does this mean that the end is neer for the Queen of MySpace (this I don't care about)?

It's no secret that America has an obessession with, "Reality TV" but this would take it to a whole new level of depravity. I am not a follower of any reality shows, but I take no issues with Survivor, Amazing Race, even the Real World. However, I can't stand the reality tv dating shows. Why would anyone want to compete for the heart of a Hooker? Furthermore, why would anyone want to watch other's compete for the heart of hooker? I'm sure that some people will watch it for the same reason that they watch, "Flava of Love", and that is because they can't turn away from trainwrecks. Then some people will watch because they believe real love may blossom between the star, and contestant. Yes, trainwrecks are fun to watch, because they make us feel better about ourselves! When you think that you have hit rock bottom, you turn these shows and say to yourself, "at least I'm not them." On top of that they make excellent cannon fodder. I too love to make countless jokes at their expense, and lovingly refer to many of them as, "Creatures." To those hopeless romantics out there who follow these shows zealously I offer you this little nugget of advice. Turn off the idiot box, go your closest grocery store and purchase a copy of each of those love novels that are staring you in the face at checkout. Those romance novels are fiction, and so are these shows. Stop romancing that notion that they are truly in love. You are watching a game show.

I am fairly confident that this show will make it to production, and I am sure that people will watch it. A Hooker Dating contest!! Really??? Let's not forget that the reason anyone other than former Govenor Elliot Spitzer cares about this chick at all is because she is all over the news. I don't really understand the whole celebrity forged by publicity craze. Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and Kim Kardashian all became celebrities without actually having done anything. When will the insanity end?

P.S. I have just completed a deal with MTV to produce the next big reality dating show, "A Squirt of KY With Golan Cipel!"

Here's a great story that I read today. Hurray for the internets!!!
Yet another sign that we take ourselves way too seriously!
